嗨，大家好！又來到了每週英文的時間啦！假如你出國留學，在國外的學校裏，結交到新朋友，還在當啞巴英文、只會課本裏面教到的簡單詞彙嗎？告訴你，英文一點也不難！這裡還有很多超簡單的英文詞彙，在學校裏絕對會用得到！廢話不多說，我們開始囉！ 1. Yaaass：超讚 🌟：Yas是Yes 的另一種拼法，國外很多高中生、大學生都很流行用這個拼法。 例句： A: We’re getting a typhoon vacation tomorrow! A：明天就要放颱風假了耶！ B: Yaaass! I can’t wait to stay at home all day. B：超～讚！我打算要整天待在家裡。 2. Can you spot me?：可以先幫我墊嗎？ 🌟：這句話的動詞spot是「看著」的意思，一開始健身房舉重時「幫忙cover」的意思，後來才衍生出「墊錢」的意思。 例句： A: Yo, can you spot me? I forgot my wallet today. A：嘿，你可以先幫我墊嗎？我忘記帶錢包。 B: You forgot your wallet yesterday. I’m beginning to think you don’t have one. B：你昨天也忘記帶錢包，你真的有錢包嗎？ 3. Way to go!：做得好！ 🌟：Way to go! 是讚美別人表現很好的一種說法，有點像good job。但是下面的例句卻是用來諷刺對方「好樣的」。 例句： A: Dude… I failed my calculus final exam. A：唉，我微積分期末考不及格欸⋯⋯ B: Way to go, man! Here’s the way to retake the course. B：做得好阿！想重修就直說嘛！ 4. It’s hard to say：不好說 🌟：It’s hard to say 基本上只是一個I don’t know 的高竿說法，聽在別人耳裏，會給人一種「你有在思考」的假象。 例句： A: Do you think I’ll get a chance to retake the exam? A：你覺得我有機會可以重考嗎？ B: Hard to say… it really depends on the professor’s mood. B：不好說⋯⋯真的要看教授的心情。 5. That’s really something!：很厲害耶！ 🌟：使用這句話時，請不要回答「What thing?」。 例句： A: I made it to every single class this semester. No sick leaves or nothing. A：我這學期每一堂課都有上到。沒有請病假或是其他假。 B: That’s really something! B：很厲害耶！ 6. I can’t make it ：我到不了了 🌟：這句話裡的make就是「達到、趕上」的意思，而不是我們熟悉的「做」。如果有人問你會不會做某件事情時，請不要回答他I can’t make it.。 例句： A: Hey sorry, I can’t make it today. You’ll have to do the presentation yourself. A：抱歉我今天到不了了。你可能要自己上台報告了。 B: What! I have no idea what we’re doing at all. B：什麼！但是我完全不知道我們在幹嘛耶。 7. Leave it to me ：交給我 🌟：如果只講Leave it 就會是「別管他了」，所以記得要加to me 才有很罩的感覺。 例句： A: They’re giving us too much work! I’m overwhelmed. A：他們給太多功課了啦！我崩潰。 B: Leave it to me, I can help you finish everything on time. B：交給我，我可以幫你準時做完。 8. Same here：同感 🌟：你跟你比較好的家人、兄弟姐妹、親戚、同學、同事或者朋友說這句話，就表示你們很有默契，因為有些時候想法會一樣。 例句： A: I have a feeling that the professor won’t let us off so easily. A：我覺得教授不會這麼簡單就放過我們。 B: Same here. I’m prepared for the worst. B：同感。我已經做好最糟糕的準備了。 9. I’m serious ：講真的 🌟：I’m serious 中間可以加一個dead來增強語氣，就會變成I’m dead serious 。有點重複講的感覺。 例句： A: You need to stop sleeping in class, I’m serious! A：你不要再一直上課睡覺了啦，我講真的！ B: But first, a nap. B：好啦，先讓我午睡一下。 10. Don’t bail on me ：不要放我鴿子 🌟：這句話的動詞bail有很多意思，包括「從監獄裏假釋」。但在這裡的意思是「令人失望」。 例句： A: See you tonight. A：今晚見。 B: Don’t bail on me. You’ll be sorry if you did.
