I do not support the abolition of priority seats. Offering one's seat is an expression of care and humanity, and these seats should not only be reserved for the elderly, weak, or young. If all priority seats were eliminated, it could lead to a situation where truly needy individuals have no place to sit. This might result in all seats becoming priority seats, and the perception that "elderly people should give up their seats" may not improve the situation. Therefore, maintaining priority seats is a good approach.
In less crowded train cars, people usually do not rush to sit on priority seats. In fact, the term "priority seat" implies that it's for those who need it most, and not exclusively for the vulnerable. When people see others with greater needs, they tend to give up their seats, contributing to a better overall commuting environment!
